What the library is capable of
Danish libraries are specialists in finding answers to your information
questions

The library can obtain items from other libraries in Denmark and
abroad

All of the library's items are computer registered

The library's computers will show a full item registration of the
library. You can search for a particular book or CD - or a certain
subject. You can see if the item has been borrowed, and when it is due to
be returned

There is no fee for borrowing books, music or any other library item.
Borrowers’ card
Borrowers’ of 14 years and over should use their Social Security card as a
library card. This card is personal, and you are liable for all
transactions made on this card. If you lose your card you must immediately
inform the library, so that your card can be temporarily blocked for
borrowing.
Loan period, renewals and reservations
The loan period is usually a month, it can be shorter for certain items.
You can renew your loaned items if they have not been reserved. You may
only renew twice. Items on loan can be reserved. You will be required to
pay the price of the postage stamp on the postcard you receive informing
you when the reserved item can be collected.
Delivery
The date of return is indicated on your borrowing receipt. Payments for
late returns are as follows:

The right to borrow is void, if you owe for more than 200 kroner.
Lost or damaged items
The borrower is liable for lost or damaged items, these must be replaced
after current prices. The view of the library, is that items that have
passed their delivery date by 2 months are considered lost, the borrower
will then receive a bill for the price of the items plus costs. The right
to borrow is void, if you owe for more than 500 kroner.
